Jayme”s self-described style is
“ Vintage Coastal,” which includes
everything from a growing
seashell collection to hand-me-
down and yard-sale curiosities,
plus a few favorites from her
store. What keeps the eclectic
mix from spilling into chaos is
careful editing—Jayme keeps
only objects she treasures.

JAYME ARMOUR LEFFLER MAY HAVE TRADED IN HOME OWNERSHIP FOR
A RENTAL, BUT THAT DIDN’T DAMPEN HER SENSE OF STYLE.

Jayme Armour Leffler thought
three years ago when she saw the interior of a 1928 stone cottage that was for rent. But dark
green walls and near-ebony molding couldn’t mask the abundant light that poured into the small
Decatur, Georgia, house. Jayme fell for the fairy-tale climbing fig that framed its arched front
door, a mantel quarried from nearby Stone Mountain, and 12-foot ceilings that gave the house an
airiness reminiscent of her Florida childhood on the Gulf of Mexico. So Jayme, who owns the
chic home furnishings shop Armour & Co, came up with an ingenious, scaled-down renovation
plan that made someone else’s house her home.
